Help Abounds For Those Who Help Themselves

Throughout my life there has been many times where I have been stuck. I was unable to take the necessary steps to move forward. I didn’t know how to get out of bad relationships. I couldn’t get my finances under control. There were many times that I was unable to answer the phone or walk outside. Going to school or a job was the most terrifying act I could think of.

Today my life is radically different. I don’t fear interaction with others. I can go to work without feeling like I’m going to be sick on the way. I handle the business of life as a learning experience because it is. I can talk things over with friends an family that I was unable to before. Everyday I learn to live my life in the manner that I have envisioned. One full of wonder and joy.

This transformation did not take place overnight. It was a gradual process, beginning with the admission that I couldn’t handle things on my own. I was going to need some help. It wasn’t until I asked for help and began taking steps to improve my thought process that miracles began to happen.

When I began acting in a manner in accordance with my own thoughts and beliefs. Neat things began to happen. When I felt out of place in a public situation someone I was familiar with showed up. When I needed money to pay a bill an unexpected check would arrive. When I was unsure how to handle a particular situation a friend would recount a similar experience and resolution.

The only difference between myself today and the old me is that I have made a commitment to live a different life. I ask for help. I take direction when needed. I seek a new path that I wish to be a willing participant in creating. The new path is MY life.
