Use Recycled Paper for Your Advertising Materials

Filed under: Marketing Infos, Plugging, Printers College — admin at 12:49 am on Friday, July 10, 2009

When designing your presentation folders, deciding on the paper materials, the color and the budget are factors that should not be overlooked. Don’t make these decisions without looking at your options. Recycled

One great option for printing brochuresor printing flyers are recycled or eco friendly paper materials. There are plenty of options, fully recycled and different texture. You may look at the material with lack of quality, but in these trying times it really shows that you care about your environment and going “green” is a real turn on to most customers. There are also mixed recycled that offer a bit more quality and still have some “green” appeal.

You can also have a choice to use materials from sustainable forests. Which means they are from forests that are not endangered or have trees that are growing back quicker than others.

Either way you choose you are making a conscience effort to help the planet, and will show your clients and or customers that you are willing to make changes within your printing company. All can be purchased within your budget and all can be advertised as Eco-Friendly, Green, and recycled. You may want to choose inks that compliment the paper as well that are eco-friendly ink. This will have a big impact on how you are revered and respected by you clients. This may also give you employee the boost they need to begin making planet conscience decisions in their own lives as well.

The Benefits of Press Releases

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 8:51 pm on Friday, June 6, 2008

So you have a new and bright web site that you will be putting in circulation very soon, you will need advertising for this site to make a big splash on the market. How does one go about writing a big press release for an impending site introduction? You are not alone if you are unsure on this, but there are a few pointers to get you started, and are successful at it at the same time.

Keeping in mind that you are going to need the public’s attention, on this media release it is important to remember the fact that the news sells. What you need is very persuasive communication to get your point across. If an editor finds material that makes false promise of nonsense claims that are just not reasonably accepted, they will trash the media release. Some of the most common are one of a kind, changing the face of the planet, or everyone wins. The entire premise is to act and think like a reporter to get the word out in that media format. If the release is not in a journalistic format, it will not be taken seriously.

A good measure would be to make the title around ten words, keep it short to grab attention. Brief summary or the information should be in the headline, and should be dynamic and bold. You are trying to reach mass public; it should be as broad as a roadside sign or billboard. The best way to get a good review is to have the editor notice your release above all others, this can be done in just a few words. Just like all good journalists know the most potent and important part of the release is always the opening paragraph. This can be referred to as the summary lead. It is always the most important facet of any release that you incorporate the common 5 w’s of journalism, not excluding the single and ever important h. who, what, when, where, and the single how are the mainstay in quality information that everyone truly looks for when reading a release. It is imperative on this note to include them.

This is the beef of the information with the introduction and the closing statements surrounding this bulk. It is the introduction that leads the readers down the path of craving more on the subject it must be powerful. This opening paragraph is what is known as the hook. This hook not only has to grab the audience’s attention but the press and the editor as well. Not always an easy task. The hook in every sense of the word is strictly fact and not a method of persuasion to the masses.

Properly written and distributed press releases bring in traffic for weeks or months to come and build valuable one way in bound links. Reputable newswire distribution services are strict standards when it comes to press releases. It is better if you have never written any press release to use services from professionals. Myself, I use services from a company called Just Articles. They guarantee that their press releases gets accepted and even given high ratings by the chosen newswire distribution service.

Secret Garden Crib Bedding by Lambs & Ivy - A Product Review

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 5:38 am on Friday, May 30, 2008

Lambs & Ivy is a well-recognized and respected designer and manufacturer of baby crib bedding and accessories, available at national chains and baby specialty stores throughout the United States and at a wide assortment of internet retailers. Secret Garden crib bedding, first introduced to consumers in late 2005, provides a distinctive alternative to those looking for a bug/dragonfly theme for their nursery. Despite the fact that Secret Garden is one of the more expensive crib bedding sets offered from Lambs & Ivy, it is a good value at between $190 and $230 for a six-piece crib set.

Secret Garden is sold as a six-piece crib set including a quilt, bumper, fitted sheet, crib skirt, valance, and diaper stacker. The fitted sheet and valance are also available for separate purchase. The Secret Garden collection is made from 100% cotton and is machine washable. The typical assortment of coordinating accessories are available to fill out the nursery: musical mobile, wall border, wall decorations, pillows, blankets, lamp and shade, hamper, and rug. An out of the ordinary accessory, not available with most crib bedding collections, is a child sized upholstered rocking chair, a nice touch to make an older sibling feel a part of the new nursery.

The Secret Garden quilt highlights the high quality characteristics that I look for in crib bedding. The patchwork design is a genuine patchwork, in which the individual squares of fabric are sewn together in order to create the design. There is a mixture of printed and woven fabrics alongside appliqués and embroidery to create a truly original looking collection. There are six main fabrics used in the Secret Garden pattern: a solid white and red, a woven black check/houndstooth, woven red plaid, a printed floral pattern, and cream chenille used as trim around the quilt, and bumper. It is always a reassuring sign to see woven fabrics wherever possible.

Part of Secret Garden’s charm or appeal is the use of original colors throughout the collection. Red and black are rarely used in crib bedding as main or even accent colors. I am personally delighted that Secret Garden is using black. I think that it makes the collection more stylish and sophisticated than some of its counterparts. Secret Garden would certainly work very effectively in a black crib, an increasingly popular choice.

The bumper stands 10″ tall with ties on the top and bottom. A slight drawback of the bumper is the fact that it comes as one continuous piece, as opposed to being broken up into two, three, or even four pieces. The crib skirt has a 12″ drop with the woven red plaid, black check, and cream chenille fabrics to complete the look of the set. The fitted sheet is cream with dragonflies, butterflies, and flowers decorating it. Due to the fact that the sheet is a printed fabric, I would caution a buyer to be aware that the pattern could fade or wear more quickly than would be the case with a higher quality woven fabric; I would recommend that consumers purchase separate solid colored sheets for every day use (cream, red, light green, or even black should work), and reserve the Secret Garden sheet for when you want to show off your nursery to visitors. The valance measures 14″ by 70″ and comes in the tab style. The diaper stacker can hold up to three dozen diapers.

Because Secret Garden merchandise is assembled in the United States, it can be particularly appealing for Canadian customers purchasing from a US retailer. It can be shipped to Canada duty-free, thereby avoiding charges of 17% or more of the purchase price that apply to bedding manufactured in China or India.

Short Term & Long Term Marketing Effects

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 1:57 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2008

The most well known advertising method is search engine
advertising using pay per click (cost per click) methods. These
will bring you fast yet very targeted traffic to your site. Of
course fast results don’t come easy–it requires money. If money
isn’t an issue for you, ppc advertising is easy.

Many don’t see satisfying results from search engine
advertising, and all they see is their wallet emptying out. Many
fail to keep on advertising on search engines because they end
up spending their entire advertising budget without getting much
in return. Once you are left with no money in your advertising
account, you site will no longer receive traffic–unless you
have repeat customers or have high positioning with natural
listings. Looking for short term, fast result advertising can
cause hard downfall and bring huge disappointment.

If you are looking for safe advertising method which will bring
you never ending steady traffic, go look into submitting your
site to web directories. This is what I call a long term
‘investment’. It requires a lot of time to submit your URL to
each and every high traffic web directories, and it takes days,
weeks, even months to see results from particular web
directories, the traffic won’t stop even when you run out of
money for advertising. It doesn’t even cost you to submit your
URL to some of the most popular web directories. It’s safe, but
it won’t bring you fast results, and you will most likely not
get as much traffic as you will from search engine
advertising–I guess you can compare this to investing your
money into saving’s account for small percentage interest, and
investing in stock market for huge return or loss on your side.
Money ‘can’ bring your satisfaction, but learn to cope without
money when it comes to online advertising. Investing money is
not everything; invest your time.

Start downloading Alexa toolbars and go hunting for web
directories with high traffic. Start submitting your URL on high
ranking web directories, and move your way down to around
200,000 ranking sites. Don’t waste your time submitting your
site to web directories that receive like 1 visitor a day.

Your Own Greeting Card Print Shop

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 1:38 pm on Monday, May 12, 2008

Let’s go over some of the greeting card print solutions you have have available to you. Making your own photo cards and personalized greeting cards is enjoyable, gives a creative satisfaction, and is actually very easy to do. If you spend some time doing greeting card printing in the off-seasons, you will have a collection of cards available to you for use at Christmas time, Easter, weddings, birthdays, and more. All you need to start with is your favorite photographs or drawings to get you going. Printable greeting cards are a great way to keep in touch with family and friends and display your digital photo talent. There are two main methods for creating and greeting card printing: desktop software and online services.

Software for Photo Greeting Cards:

You can make your own printable greeting cards using computer programs. There are a several excellent applications available for greeting card printing. These programs have made this process easy for several years. Currently, my favorite program for making digital photo greeting cards is Adobe Photoshop Album. Adobe is the professionals choice for their powerful professional tools. But do not be scared off by that- their latest round of consumer -level applications have been outstanding in ease of use and functionality. As with the online services, templates are available for greeting cards, Christmas cards, etc.

Online Services for Greeting Card Printing

Most online digital photos services offer customized photograph cards, permitting you to create your own greeting cards any occasion. Online photo services such as Ofoto and Shutterfly make it simple to lay out high-quality customized cards. The process entails uploading your photos to the service, working with the design software to layout how you want the card to look, and then adding your text messages. Greeting card printing is usually done at a 5×7 size and you will choose a glossy or matte finish. The online service will then mail you your cards in various size packages of your choosing. To prevent writer’s cramp, or the hassle of printing mailing labels, Shutterfly will let you upload an address book from your computer and mail the cards out for you (of course you wont be able to sign them though.) I hope you have fun making your own cards and realize the great time and cost savings that your own greeting card print shop will bring to you.

Avoid the Hard Sell of Mobile Phone Shops

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 5:54 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2008

Mobile phones have become a necessity in modern life, something seemingly indispensable rather than an optional purchase. We need our mobile phones like we ended food and oxygen - literally everyone has a mobile phone and we need to upgrade and change these phones on an annual basis. The mobile phone market is one of the largest consumer markets in the UK simply because it is a captive market. Why then do mobile phone shops insist on giving us the hard sell when we come to buy or renew our mobile phone?

The Mobile phone retail market is competitive - of that there can be no doubt. But they have tens of millions of consumers to target who will always need to buy or upgrade their phone. From an outside perspective this would seem to be an advantageous position akin to shooting fish in a barrel. It seems unnecessary then that on two separate occasions I have been quite literally accosted and backed into a corner in a mobile phone shop while some over enthusiastic nee desperate sales ‘executive’ practically rams handsets down my throat. Considering a) I’m already in the store and b) I’m there because I wish to purchase a new phone the hard sell approach is not only unnecessary but frankly off putting.

This year I avoided the high street altogether in my search for a new mobile phone. My past experience of mobile phone shops forced me to look to new methods of getting a new mobile phone deal. I had done a spot of online shopping previously but had not really considered shopping for a mobile phone online until my network sent me some literature that mentioned ‘web exclusive’ offers. Most of the major networks such as Orange and T-Mobile provide such offers to existing customers so checking out the deals when the time comes for you to switch phones might work our to your advantage.

The online equivalent of the high street stores also fare well from a customer centric point of view. Online mobile phone shops such as Dial-a-Phone combine deals from all major networks to give you an idea of the best deals across the market - so you can switch network if you find a better deal.

The real advantage of this is these options is the complete absence of sales staff, jargon and rhetoric and borderline aggression that you can find with high street mobile phone shops.

Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. Completes Building Demolition & Foundation Removals

Filed under: Plugging — admin at 6:32 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2008

South Plainfield, New Jersey, September 2005 - Dallas
Contracting Co., Inc., (website:
http://www.dallascontracting.com) a specialized contractor
providing demolition, onsite concrete aggregate crushing,
equipment salvage and scrap metal recycling to various
industries, recently completed the demolition of a building and
other related activities on an active chemical site in New
Jersey.

Dallas Contracting Co., Inc. (Dallas Contracting) was contracted
to perform several tasks including the demolition of a former
maintenance building, demolition of all associated foundations,
removal of surrounding asphalt area and removal of piping on a
pipe bridge. The demolition of these items was complicated by
being on an active chemical site with live utility (above and
below grade) and process lines in the immediate vicinity of work
efforts. The plant has very strict work practices which needed
to be abided by at all times.

The first task was to remove the old utility and water lines on
a pipe bridge that fed to the building. This was accomplished by
having laborers on a Genie boom lift cut the lines down with
demolition saws. The building and foundation demolition was the
next task. A PC 220 excavator mounted with a grapple demolished
the structure and a skid steer was utilized to sort and remove
debris. The grapple on the excavator was replaced with a bucket
to perform the foundation and asphalt removal. A hydraulic
hammer attachment was mounted on the skid steer to assist with
breaking up the concrete. In addition, laborers utilized a walk
behind concrete saw to make cuts in the asphalt and concrete.
During the foundation removal, several unknown old sewer and
water lines were encountered which were carefully exhumed and
removed. Concrete, brick, masonry and asphalt were sent offsite
for recycling. Debris was sent off for non hazardous disposal.

>From a safety standpoint, nearby underground utilities were
marked out and steel plates were placed over the areas for
protection. A water hose was utilized to suppress dust migration
during the building demolition. Caution tape and fencing were
also used to secure the work area. There were no injuries or
incidents.

The project was completed in approximately 2 weeks.

equipment salvage. Additional information on our services can be

Landing Page Xpress PRO allows you to instantly beat Google’s
policy change of January 6, 2005 against URL sharing. Till then,
anyone could have just joined almost any affiliate program and
set up an AdWords account with Google and profit (and as
outlined in Chris Carpenter’s ebook “Google Cash”) But all that
changed when on January 6, 2005, Google announced its new policy
change against URL sharing by parent companies and their
affiliates.

What this meant was something literally earth-shaking (rather
“Web-shaking” - more accurately!)

This meant the elimination of about 98% of all affiliate
programs using Google AdWords that were not prepared for this.
The ONLY way to beat Google’s new policy is to first create a
landing page (or splash page as it’s often called also) - and
then redirect from that same landing page to whatever affiliate
sites you are enrolled in as an affiliate.

We at My Net-Marketing Center quickly got on the ball and
developed Landing Page Xpress PRO soon after this announcement,
